Hello there!

Happy almost spring everyone! Getting so exciting for the warm weather to arrive and for everything to turn green and pretty again. 🙂

I had a great showing at the Unite For Her Pink Invitational, on my mom’s birthday, February 27th. Despite a little bit of adversity on a couple of events, I was awarded gold medals on each event, plus the all around with a score of 37.675 and our team got first place with a score of 114 plus.

This meet was extra special for our team, because of our teammate and good friend Bre. Her mom is a breast cancer survivor and was a recipient of one of the Unite For Her financial scholarships a few years ago. Now she and our team paid it forward by raising a large sum of money for this very important cause, so that other families going through the struggles of a loved one facing this disease could experience the same type of support that helped Bre’s family through a very difficult time.

Another very special moment for me at this meet was when I was approached by a very nice man after awards who acknowledged how deserving I was of receiving all the awards I have gotten over the years, especially because of my bold expressions of faith when I write my blogs, giving credit to the One who has helped me achieve so much over the years. That meant a lot to me, especially because this journey in my gymnastics career has never been about what I can do, it’s been about what God has been able to do through me with the amazing gift He has blessed me with. It’s about making an impact in the world, which goes much deeper than just being able to win medals. It’s been a special journey, because I have gotten to share my successes with my best friend and Father in Heaven. 🙂

I just went to WVU this past weekend to watch my future team have their season best score to date, which was so much fun. GO MOUNTAINEERS!

Now I am preparing for my post season, starting with states at the end of this month, so I pray God keeps me safe, healthy and moving forward so that we can finish this season together strong!

Love and hugs to all!
