Hello Everyone!

Well, I guess as they say… That’s a wrap!  In the JO gymnastics world anyway 😉

Just got back from Nationals in Fort Worth, Texas, and it was a great way to close out my JO career.  This trip was probably the most special for me, because my whole family and both sets of grandparents got to come along. We had a great time together and their support means the world to me.  On competition day, I had a 7th place finish on floor and placed 8th overall with a 37.75.  It was the icing on the cake to an incredible meet season for me by hitting 4 for 4 at every competition.  Consistency is something I really strive for in gymnastics, so this season was a huge accomplishment for me in that area.  It helped me feel more prepared for college gymnastics, especially since I decided to go to WVU a year early.

As you can imagine this was probably one of the most hectic years of my life.  It was a very busy meet season, but on top of that I also had to complete my junior and senior classes in one year and take my college entrance exams. The big picture seems so overwhelming, however, I just decided to stay true to my family’s motto, and that is to take one day at a time. That motto worked out incredibly well for me, because I finished my last final exam yesterday and have a final GPA of 4.0.  By the way, that one day at a time thing must be pretty good advice if it’s even found in Matthew – 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.”   I think it’s AWESOME advice, and it works!

Now I am looking forward to getting everything in order as I prepare to head off to WVU this coming August.  I will have plenty of time to do things with my family and friends as well, so I am really excited about this summer!

The main reason I am where I am today is because all of all the love and support from so many people.  I just want you to know how much I appreciate all of you!

Love and Hugs,

Abs
