The new meet season has begun! It’s so hard to imagine that I have been with my new gym for 6 months now and just competed at my first meet! It felt so good to be back on the competition floor! My favorite part about the meet was showing my new floor routine for the first time (you can check it out on my videos page). I am working on adding my full-in to the first pass for my next meet. The meet went very well and it was so much fun competing with my fellow Prestige teammates. I truly feel like we are sisters and love how we all root each other on.

I am excited about my first place finishes on Floor, Beam and the All Around, as well as my two third place finishes on Vault and Bars.

Now I have two months to perfect all of my skill upgrades, so I can add them to each of my four events. My next meet is the Hill’s Classic, which is a big one with a lot of great competition. I am really looking forward to it.

I continue to work on the Elite Compulsory routines, as well. It’s still a goal of mine to become an Elite gymnast if that’s part of God’s plan for me. If it doesn’t happen, it won’t be for a lack of trying. I know I had a much later start with the Elite training, especially on bars and the settings, but I have the desire, commitment and work ethic to go as far as I can possibly go. In the meantime I am going to strive to be the best level 10 gymnast I can be and pray that I have an incredible and safe season competing with my Prestige family.

I want to thank all of my coaches for their love and support. They have truly helped my confidence level and I am very grateful for each of them. I am having so much fun!!!

Right now I am super excited about the holidays! Yep! I am one of those weirdo’s that started listening to Christmas music over a week ago. I can’t help myself, I love the holidays. However, since Thanksgiving comes first and I am a very thankful person, I want to wish each of you a BLESSED, safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

And….if I don’t blog before Christmas, I hope each of you have the very Merriest Christmas ever!

Love and Hugs,
Abs
